Start of Podcast

I have made my plan for my podcast however there are still a few details that can be changed. I am doing the podcast on the book The Dunwich Horror. This book is one of my personal favorites and I thought it would be interesting to choose a different book other than Call of Cthulhu.

I thought maybe I could add some story telling elements when telling the summary of the story to make it more entertaining. I am planning on messing around with the music a lot. I have not recorded for a long time so this week I will probably do a couple test runs of it. I am still brainstorming for an interesting title for the whole podcast and the episode title as well.

I might include my brother in the podcast as he has some knowledge on this book as well and I do want another person other than me speaking if possible.

My next steps this week are to create titles, test recording, read the story again and create my own summary for it. Thanks for reading and if you guys do have any ideas for my podcast in general please do not hesitate to tell me.

Update 11/01/2019
I am finishing up my recordings this weekend for my podcast. Just by coincidence my roommate is not gonna be there at the apartment this weekend so it will be the perfect time to record. I was kind of worried about audio in the background getting picked up by the microphone but now I don't have to. I can confirm that my brother will be part of my recording for the podcast. I was just gonna do it with just me but I feel podcasts should have more than 1 person participating in them. My week has gone pretty smoothly and hope it has also for the rest of you guys. Thanks for reading and stay warm.

  1. Hello, Ian.

As someone who loves literature and learning about new books to add to my reading list, I’m really looking forward to seeing the final product of your project.

I think it would be really interesting for you to feature your brother in the podcast as he will offer a different perspective into your topic, and that variety may be nice for your listeners.

I’m also really interested in seeing what storytelling elements you incorporate, as well as the music you choose to accompany your podcast.

I have really enjoyed everything you’ve come up with so far relating to your blog and cross media campaign in connection to H.P. Lovecraft.

  2. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I absolutely hate reading with a passion. So I will intrigued to hear what it is you have to say and discuss Ian. Although I don't entirely agree with the notion that podcasts are better with the more people you have, I think a conversation between your brother and yourself should be interesting!

I look forward to hearing what you have to say and will be listening to yours, and everyone else's projects as I go about my week next week!
