Introduction

This portfolio reflects on all of the work I have done in the Digital Tools & Technologies class. My theme that links all my projects together is H. P. Lovecraft. Throughout the following projects, I discuss and analyze the writer himself and his ideas. Each project is consistent with each over as I have kept the same color scheme and words to images pattern throughout. In order to create a brand for myself, I have chosen a specific set of fonts throughout my projects and created a personal logo that conveys the colors and theme of my Cross Media Campaign.

Infographic

The infographic consists of data of H. P. Lovecraft's writing. I used a combination of Photoshop and Canva to create the design. For the background, I used Photoshop to create an underwater theme that corresponds with the tone of the writer conveys in many of his works. The revisions I have made for this project are that I changed the title font from before to something that would be used more across multiple projects, I added more space so the text was not on the wall, and finally, I added my personal logo at the bottom.

Corpus Analysis

For the corpus analysis, I chose one of Lovecraft's most popular stories and put it into Voyant tools to conduct the analysis. I then presented the data I found in Prezi. The revisions I did for this project were changing the shapes and colors for the transitions and changing the text color of important words.

Photo Story

In my photo story, I try to show how as Lovecraft grew older his ideas and writing became more unique and stranger. I edited all the images in Photoshop and posted the story on my blog. Accompanying each image is a list of text that describes things that happened to him at that age. The revisions I made with the project were changing the font of the title and the title itself. I also removed the bullets from the text because they were appearing too close to the images.

Podcast

I chose to make a podcast discussing and reviewing one of Lovecraft's story with one other person. I used audacity to record and edit audio. Revisions that I made for the recording was adding ambient music in the middle of it while giving the summary portion of the recording. I also created a title card for my podcast as well.
